Implementasi Tri Hita Karana dalam Pengelolaan Wisata Alam di Taman Nasional Bali Barat, Desa Sumberklampok, Kabupaten Buleleng

Abstract

This study aims to analyze natural tourism management at West Bali National Park, identify challenges in implementing Tri Hita Karana, and determine its implications for tourism. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach at West Bali National Park. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, including West Bali National Park managers, local communities, customary village, tour guides, and parties related to natural tourism management. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, literature review, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that natural tourism management at West Bali National Park has implemented management functions: planning, organizing, moving, supervising, and motivating. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana is visible in three main aspects, Parahyangan respect for spiritual values and religious activities in the area, Pawongan harmonious cooperation among managers, communities, customary villages, and tourism actors, and Palemahan various environmental conservation efforts such as Smart Patrol area patrols, flora and fauna protection, and environmental education for tourists. However, some challenges remain, particularly in the Palemahan aspect, including waste management problems and low awareness among some visitors regarding the importance of maintaining area cleanliness. Overall, the implementation of Tri Hita Karana in natural tourism management in this area has progressed well and serves as one of the key factors supporting the sustainability of conservation based natural tourism areas.
