Pariwisata Berbasis Masyarakat dalam Pengelolaan Potensi Wisata Air Terjun Goa Giri Campuhan di Desa Tembuku, Kecamatan Tembuku, Kabupaten Bangli

Abstract

This study examines the management of the Goa Giri Campuhan Waterfall in Tembuku Village, Bangli Regency, as a community-based tourist attraction. The three issues investigated are the area’s tourism potential, the roles of stakeholders, and the forms of community-based management currently in practice. The research method is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. Informants were selected purposively based on the pentahelix concept, encompassing the village government, managers, the local community, business operators, and the media. The results indicate that this area possesses natural tourism potential in the form of tiered waterfalls, a natural cave from the Dutch colonial era, a campuhan (river confluence), and rice fields, along with spiritual significance for Hindus. The village government serves as the coordinator, managers as the technical implementers, and the community is involved through mutual aid activities. The aspects of planning, organizing, implementing, controlling, and motivating are already in place, but limitations in facilities, funding, and promotion remain significant obstacles. More optimal management requires increased community participation and regulatory support from the local government.
