Strategi Pengelolaan Daya Tarik Wisata Alam Berbasis Masyarakat Di Pondok Dajan Danu Desa Candikuning, Kecamatan Baturiti, Kabupaten Tabanan

Abstract

Community-Based Tourism (CBT) has become a widely recognized strategy for achieving sustainable tourism development by emphasizing the active participation of local communities in tourism planning and management. This research seeks to explore the tourism potential of Pondok Dajan Danu, identify the factors that support and constrain its development, and evaluate the management strategies applied within the destination. The study was conducted at Pondok Dajan Danu, a nature-based tourism attraction situated in Candikuning Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach was adopted to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the destination's management practices. Data were gathered through field observations, in-depth interviews, documentation, and a review of relevant literature. Research participants included destination managers, members of the local community, and visitors, who were selected using purposive and accidental sampling techniques. The results indicate that Pondok Dajan Danu offers significant opportunities for tourism development due to its attractive natural setting, including the panorama of Lake Beratan and the surrounding highland environment. In addition, the destination features glamping accommodations that incorporate local cultural elements and provides various tourism activities combining natural experiences with cultural attractions. Its development is strengthened by a favorable location, strong community participation, and support from government agencies and other stakeholders. Nevertheless, several issues continue to affect the destination, particularly limited accessibility, the need for more effective promotional efforts, and the improvement of
local human resource capabilities.
