Peran Masyarakat Lokal Dalam Pengelolaan Ekowisata Di Air Terjun Toyo Bulan Di Desa Jehem Kecamatan Tembuku Kabupaten Bangli

Abstract

Ecotourism is a form of sustainable tourism that emphasizes environmental conservation and local community involvement. Toyo Bulan Waterfall in Jehem Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency has natural potential to be developed as a community-based tourism destination. This study aimed to identify its ecotourism potential, management system, and the role of local communities. This study used a descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed systematically using ecotourism theory, community-based tourism, and management functions, namely planning, organizing, actuating, controlling, and motivation. The results showed that Toyo Bulan Waterfall has natural attractions such as waterfalls, rivers, and vegetation, artificial attractions such as fish ponds and swimming pools, and cultural attractions such as rindik music. Its management applied conservation-based planning, clear task organization, mutual cooperation, field coordination, direct control, and motivation from economic benefits and community ownership. Local communities played roles in decision-making, operations, benefit sharing, and evaluation. Their involvement supported better management and sustainable community-based ecotourism.
